The brief for this project whilst studying the Extended Diploma in Graphic Design, was to create a fictitious album cover for a band of our choice, however it had to be made using solely computer applications. I chose the album Mylo Xyloto by Coldplay and created a hummingbird design using Adobe Illustrator. Each feather was individually made and layered to create a three dimensional effect. By using gradients I was able to emulate the light and shadows of the birds. The watercolour was created using different brushes and painting in Photoshop.
